COVINGTON, Va. (VR) - Alleghany High School's Maddox Wickline is headed to the next level. Wickline has committed to continue his cross country and track career at WVU Tech, where he will compete in both cross country and track and field. WVU Tech head coach praised Wickline's versatility, noting his success in events ranging from the 200 meter to the 5K. Coach Jordan Hosey expects Wickline to compete in the long sprint and middle-distance events, believes he has the potential to break school records and contribute to relay teams, and anticipates he will become a key member of the cross-country program. "He is truly capable of accomplishing some great things during his collegiate running career," Coach Jordan Hosey told the Virginian Review
