Council for the Town of Clifton Forge Holds Emergency Closed Session

The Council for the Town of Clifton Forge will hold an emergency closed session pursuant to Section 2.2-3711 subsection A.1 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, regarding the assignment, appointment, promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, disciplining or resignation of specific employees of the Fire Department on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Clifton Forge Town Hall located at 547 Main Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia.

MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION

I move to go into closed session for the following reason:

A closed session pursuant to Section 2.2-3711 subsection A.1 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, regarding the assignment, appointment,
promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, disciplining or resignation of specific employees of the Fire Department.

CERTIFICATION FOLLOWING CLOSED MEETING

I move pursuant to Virginia Code § 2.2-3712(D) that the Town Council certifies that, to the best of each member’s knowledge, only public business
matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements of the Virginian

Freedom of Information Act and only such public business matters as were identified in the motion convening the closed meeting were heard,
discussed, or considered during the closed meeting.
