HOT SPRINGS, VA (VR) – The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacco van Teeffelen as Managing Director. A seasoned hospitality executive with extensive experience leading some of the world’s most renowned luxury hotels and resorts, van Teeffelen will oversee all aspects of operations at America’s First Resort, guiding its continued evolution while preserving the traditions that have defined the property for 260 years.

Van Teeffelen joins The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, where he spent more than 15 years in leadership positions across the brand’s global portfolio. A graduate of the Hotel Management School Maastricht in The Netherlands, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Management, he most recently served as General Manager of Fairmont Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Throughout his career, van Teeffelen has also served in leadership roles at Fairmont Winnipeg, Fairmont San Francisco, Fairmont Grand Del Mar and The SAVOY Hotel London, where he developed a reputation for operational excellence, strategic growth and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

“I am honored to join The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa and become part of a legacy that has welcomed guests for generations,” said van Teeffelen. “The Homestead occupies a unique place in American hospitality, blending rich history with unforgettable experiences across wellness, recreation, golf and culinary programming. I look forward to working alongside this talented team to build upon that foundation and continue creating meaningful experiences for guests from around the world.”

Van Teeffelen’s appointment marks a new chapter for The Omni Homestead as the resort continues to build on the momentum of its transformative $180+ million revitalization. As guest demand grows for immersive wellness experiences, multigenerational travel offerings, outdoor adventure, championship golf and destination-driven culinary programming, van Teeffelen will help shape the property’s long-term vision while preserving the traditions that have defined The Homestead for more than 250 years. Drawing on his extensive experience leading luxury resorts around the world, he will oversee the continued evolution of the guest experience while strengthening the resort’s position as one of the nation’s premier destination resorts.

“Jacco is a highly respected hospitality leader with an exceptional track record of guiding iconic luxury resorts and cultivating high-performing teams,” said Dan Piotrowski, Senior Vice President of Operations for Omni Hotels & Resorts. “The Omni Homestead Resort holds a unique place within our portfolio and within American hospitality as a whole. Jacco’s operational expertise, strategic vision and passion for delivering memorable guest experiences make him uniquely positioned to guide the resort into its next era as we continue building on the momentum of its historic revitalization.”
