COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Covington Middle School battled to a 10-10 tie against Blacksburg, matching runs inning for inning in a high-scoring finish.

Miyah Howard led the offense, going 2-for-2 with a double and a single. McKenzie Wyatt stayed hot at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with a double and a single, while adding another double in additional at-bats. Miranda Broughman chipped in with a 1-for-2 performance, recording a single, and Laney Rice was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two singles.

Covington’s lineup produced consistent contact throughout, but neither side could break the deadlock as the game ended even at 10-10.
