COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Lady Cougars stacked quality at-bats from the top of the order down, finishing with six players recording hits and multiple extra-base knocks that fueled the run total.
Alyssa Shifflett highlighted the night, going 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. Miyah Howard matched the production, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 with two singles and a triple. Anniystn Lewis added another extra-base threat, going 2-for-3 with a single and a triple.
Kelsey Broughman was efficient at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two singles, while Willow Miller delivered a triple. Abby Forbes added a single in her only at-bat to round out the offensive effort.
Broughman also handled duties in the circle, earning the win as Covington maintained control throughout behind consistent offense and clean execution.
