The Alleghany Highlands Arts Council invites you to step back in time for a nostalgic evening celebrating one of the most beloved voices in American music. On Friday, April 24, Ted Vigil will perform  A Tribute to John Denver at the Historic Masonic Theatre beginning at 7:00 pm

John Denver was more than a Grammy-winning artist; he was a cultural phenomenon who sold over 33 million records and defined an era with his unique blend of romance, folk, country, and environmentalism. Nearly three decades after his untimely passing in 1997, his music continues to inspire and resonate with fans across generations.

Ted Vigil is not merely an impersonator; he is a world-class performer who bears a striking resemblance to Denver in both appearance and vocal tone. Beyond the physical likeness, Vigil shares a profound connection to the spirit of the iconic artist, delivering a reverently assembled show that captures the warmth and sincerity of Denver’s greatest hits, like “Annie’s Song,”  Take Me Home Country Roads, “ “Sunshine on my Shoulders,”  “ Rocky Mountain High,” and “Thank God I’m a Country Boy.”

“This is the perfect way to start the weekend,” says Arts Council Executive Director Tammy Scruggs-Duncan. “Whether it’s a date night or a family outing, the audience will leave feeling uplifted.”

General admission tickets are $30 and are on sale now, available online at either the Alleghany Highlands Arts Council or Historic Masonic Theatre websites. They will also be available for purchase at the door on the evening of the performance.

The event is underwritten by a grant from The Alleghany Foundation. For more information, please call the Alleghany Highlands Arts Council at 540-962-ARTS (2787).
