LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Thanks to several generous donors, Carnegie Hall has installed a new chiller to update its air conditioning system.
The upgrade was made possible with funding from the James F.B. Peyton Fund, the Jeanne G. and Lawson W. Hamilton Family Foundation, the Seneca Trail Charitable Trust, and the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History’s Cultural Facilities grant program.
The new chiller, which replaced a unit more than 20 years old, is much more efficient than the old equipment and should provide reliable air conditioning for years to come.
The upgrade should add to guest comfort during concerts, classes, and other events in the building. The hall also expects to see a noticeable decrease in its power bills as a result of the more efficient system.
Carnegie Hall is a nonprofit organization supported by individual contributions, grants, and fundraising efforts such as TOOT and The Carnegie Hall Gala.
The hall is located at 611 Church Street in Lewisburg.
