Alleghany moved their record to 10-4 on the year, 5-3 in the Three Rivers District with an 8-1 senior day victory over Giles Monday at Clifton Middle School.
Dominic Trice, Dawson Tolley, Tanner Arritt, Isaiah Roman and Christian Allen won singles matches for the Mountaineers.
“It was a nice senior day win,” said AHS coach Seth Davis. “Isaiah and Christian did a good job in their first singles matches. Charles Honaker has broken his foot twice since February and was able to play well. I’m just proud of these seniors. Only three had experience before this season, but a good core of them came to work in the fall. That has been huge.”
Alleghany finishes Thurs-day’s suspended match today at Carroll County.
