One Found Dead After Saturday Structure Fire

One person was found dead after firefighters responded to the scene of a structure fire Saturday morning in Alleghany County.
The fire, reported around 3 a.m. Saturday, occurred in the Dunbrack Road area of the county. The call was covered by the Falling Spring Fire Department.
Ryan Muterspaugh, public safety director for Alleghany County, said the structure was a total loss and the body of one victim was discovered by firefighters.
Muterspaugh said causes for the death and the fire remain under investigation. The name of the victim was not released.
