HOT SPRINGS, Va. (VR) – Bath Community Hospital has achieved outstanding results in the latest Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, earning 100% scores in both Cleanliness of Hospital Environment and Overall Rating of Hospital, a near-perfect 98% in Responsiveness of Hospital Staff, and an impressive 94% in Willingness to Recommend the Hospital.

The HCAHPS survey is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives on hospital care. It measures critical elements of the patient experience, from communication and responsiveness to cleanliness and the overall quality of care, allowing hospitals nationwide to be compared using the same transparent criteria.

The survey and its protocols for sampling, data collection and coding, and file submission can be found in the current HCAHPS Quality Assurance Guidelines, which is available on the official HCAHPS website, www.hcahpsonline.org.

Commitment to Excellence

Bath Community Hospital’s exceptional scores reflect its strong culture of patient-centered care. Staff at every level, from environmental services to nursing and clinical teams, work collaboratively to ensure patients feel safe, respected, and cared for at every step.

“These results are a direct reflection of our team’s dedication to providing exceptional care experiences,” said Chief Nursing Officer Vickie Wood, Bath Community Hospital.

“Whether it’s a clean and healing environment, timely staff response, or compassionate medical attention, our focus is always on our patients.”
Cleanliness of Hospital Environment – 100%

Bath Community Hospital received a perfect score for cleanliness, underscoring its dedication to maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. Overall Rating of Hospital – 100%

Patients awarded Bath Community Hospital the highest possible overall rating, reflecting their confidence in the hospital’s staff, services, and quality of care. This recognition highlights the trust that the community places in its local hospital and validates the hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional care close to home.

Responsiveness of Hospital Staff – 98%

With a nearly perfect score in staff responsiveness, patients consistently praised the promptness and attentiveness of the hospital’s nurses, physicians, and support staff. From answering call lights quickly to addressing concerns with compassion, the team at Bath Community Hospital is recognized for being highly responsive to patient needs. Willingness to Recommend – 94%
