Alleghany High School students participate in LewisGale Healthcare Camp

LOW MOOR, Va, (VR) – From left: Alleghany High School students Alayla Morgan, Alania McCormick, Willow Davis, Alexis Wolfe, and Autumn Dunbar participated in the LewisGale Healthcare Camp, recently held at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany. During the week, students explored various hospital departments, interacted with healthcare professionals, and participated in hands-on learning experiences. The camp was organized by Eddy Parham, vice president of human resources at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, and supported by the Galen School of Nursing and nursing students. The experience was part of the Alleghany Highlands Public Schools’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiative to prepare students for future careers. (AHPS Photo)
