A message from Bath Community Hospital.
At this time, our area has not had any positive COVID-19 cases. However, for precautionary measures, Bath Community Hospital has implemented the recommended screening by the CDC and Virginia Department of Health for all patients and visitors entering the facility.
Please arrive a few minutes early to complete the screening process.
Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.

The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days and in some cases more than 30 days after exposure.*

Fever

Cough

Shortness of breath

If you suspect you have the COVID-19 virus, please contact your primary care provider.
We are also implementing the following restrictions for visitors of our inpatients to limit the risk of exposure to our patients and our staff.
Inpatient Visitor Restrictions

1) No visitors under the age of 18 will be permitted on site

2) Visitors must be immediate family members

3) Patients will be limited to one visitor at a time

4) Visitors with flu-like symptoms (cough, congestion, runny nose, fever, etc) must refrain from visiting patients at the hospital

5) Further visitor screenings and restrictions may be implemented as the situation evolves.
