LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Cougar varsity soccer team powered past Floyd County with an impressive 5-2 win, showing off both talent and teamwork in a match full of standout moments.

Mason Hale lit up the scoreboard with a hat trick, scoring three goals and putting constant pressure on Floyd County’s defense. The underclassman showed poise beyond his years, leading the Cougars’ offensive charge and energizing the home crowd.

Senior Landon Mullikin made the night one to remember by scoring his first-ever varsity goal. The milestone brought a wave of celebration from his teammates and a proud roar from the stands as Mullikin found the net in his final season.

Brandon Seckner also added to the scoring spree with a goal of his own, helping secure the Cougars’ control of the game from start to finish.

While Floyd County managed to get two goals on the board, Alleghany’s defense held firm and never let the outcome slip out of reach. The team played with discipline and intensity, earning a well-deserved win.
