Mountain Gateway Community College to Hold 58th Commencement Ceremony May 9, Nursing Pinning Ceremony Scheduled for May 7

CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) — Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) will hold its 58th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Convocation Center. The ceremony will celebrate the academic achievements of the Class of 2025, with remarks from college leadership and recognition of students graduating with academic honors.

Graduating students are required to report to the Moomaw Center by 5:30 p.m. for check-in. A mandatory graduation practice for all participants will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

Students earning academic honors will have those distinctions announced during the ceremony, and honors will also be noted on official MGCC transcripts.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are not required, and doors to the Convocation Center will open at 5:30 p.m. for general seating.

In addition to Commencement, MGCC will host its Nursing Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., also in the Convocation Center. This special ceremony honors the college’s nursing graduates as they prepare to enter the healthcare profession.

The pinning ceremony will also be livestreamed at: https://youtube.com/live/2DZDgLDYKO4 Mountain Gateway Community College welcomes family members, friends, and community supporters to join in celebrating the accomplishments of its graduates.
