Linda Sartain

Linda Wilcher Sartain, age 76, passed from this world and into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 3, 2025, with her loving family by her side, after a long and courageous fight with cancer.

Linda was born on December 1, 1948, in Covington, VA. As the cherished matriarch of her family, she led with strength, love, and unwavering faith. Linda exemplified the Christian walk in both word and deed, always putting her family at the center of her life. A devoted member of Solid Rock Ministries, she remained actively involved throughout the years. Linda had a passion for traveling and created countless cherished memories on trips with her husband and loved ones. Known for her delicious cooking, her eye for a good bargain, and her love of yard sales, Linda brought joy and
warmth to those around her. Above all, she treasured her family deeply and loved them wholeheartedly. Her quick wit, steady presence, and fierce love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Beulah Wilcher; brother, David Caldwell; sisters, Pattie Jeffries and Doris Reynolds; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, William Lee Sartain, Sr.; two sons Shawn Michael Sartain & Selina, and William Lee Sartain, Jr.; grandchildren Shawna Sartain, Logan Sartain & wife Kayla, Spencer Sartain, Kelsey Sartain and wife Amoni, Isabella Sartain, and Savannah Sartain; great grandchildren Abram Clarke, Lane Sartain, Maren Sartain; sister Wanda Merritt; special family member Lisa Bradley; special friends Rhonda Hamilton and Susie Thompson; along with several nieces, nephews, close in-laws and other loving family and friends.

The family would like to express a special Thanks to Becky Dabbs at Kars Unlimited, Steve Simmons with the yard sales, and the entire Alleghany County Community for all the generous gifts and donations and support for Linda and the family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M, Sunday, April 6, 2025 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Irvine officiating. Interment will follow in Hoke Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Sartain, William Lee Sartain, Jr., Logan Sartain, Steven Simmons, Spencer Sartain, Scott Bradley, Trevor Ward, Zane Caldwell and Abe Clarke.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Radford, Victor Goldberg, “Doc” Sizemore and Steve Sizemore.

The family will receive from 1:30 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Solid Rock Ministries in loving memory of Linda.
