COVINGTON, Va. (VR) - National recording artist Glen Shelton made his annual stop in Covington on Saturday night as the Covington Parks and Recreation Summer Music Series continued. The free concert drew a strong crowd to enjoy an evening of live country music. Shelton performed a mix of his original songs along with popular country hits, entertaining those in attendance throughout the evening. The Summer Music Series continues through the end of August, with concerts remaining free to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the performances. Judith Aberle Sivonda

Judith Aberle Sivonda, age 74, of 1023 Acacia Avenue, Clifton Forge, and formerly of New Haven, Connecticut, passed away at her home on October 9, 2025. 

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and are being handled by Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
