COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Virginian Review office is teaming up with the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library to collect used prescription and non-prescription eyeglasses through the end of March. Sponsored by the Clifton Forge Lions Club and Falling Spring Ruritan Club, this initiative helps provide eyewear to those in need. Donations can be dropped off at the library or the Virginian Review office. Collected glasses are sent to the Eyeglass Recycling Center in Roanoke, cleaned, sorted, and shipped globally to individuals who cannot afford them.
