The following local entities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17, for the observance of Martin Luther King Day:
— The Alleghany County/Covington Health Department;
— Clifton Forge Public Library;
— Alleghany County/Covington Department of Social Services;
— County Offices located in the Alleghany County Governmental Complex.
In addition to the closings, the Island Ford Transfer Station will be open Monday, Jan. 20.
