CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – The Town of Clifton Forge will have the Clifton Forge Firehouse, 701 Church Street, open to anyone that needs heat due to the impending cold weather. The National Weather Service states that cold weather with wind chills as low as zero to 10 above can be expected late tonight, with higher ridges as cold as 5 below. Cold weather with wind chills as low as zero to 5 above to 5 below zero are possible Tuesday night.
Higher ridges could get as cold as10 below.
The Clifton Forge Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1610 Hickory Avenue, Clifton Forge, VA, has also agreed to open their building up to those in need.
Both locations will be open from Tuesday, January 14 through Friday, January 17.
