WARM SPRINGS — Bath County, in partnership with the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) and the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission (CSPDC), is wrapping up its Housing Needs Assessment and Market Analysis Study.
The study’s Project Management Team is hosting a public meeting to share the results.
Camoin 310, the economic development firm who assisted with the study, will present their findings at the meeting.
As a rural community, Bath County is challenged to provide housing to its workforce.
To address this issue, the study involved analyzing data, engaging stakeholders and the public, and identifying strategies the county can employ to increase its availability of workforce housing. These topics will be discussed at the public meeting.
The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at 6 p.m. at the Hot Springs Fire Department and Rescue Squad Building at 2670 Main Street in Hot Springs. Parking is available onsite and along Main Street.
Bath County residents, employers and workers are invited to attend this meeting. Along with the public, an invitation will be extended to various elected and appointed officials, as well.
