PINEHURST, N.C. — Dabney S. Lancaster ran into a pair of perennial NJCAA, Region 10 powers this weekend.
The Roadrunners lost to Guilford Tech on Friday, 106-76, before falling to host Sandhills Community College on Saturday, 106-74, in the Chatlee Classic.
Guilford Tech received votes in the DII National Junior College Athletic Association rankings, while Sandhills is the No. 7 ranked team in the country in DIII and is coming off a fifth place finish in the national tournament a year ago.
Jaylon Hudson had a big 25-point game for DSLCC?on Saturday, Ty Brown added 15, while both Deondre Dabney and Cartier Key had 10 points each.
Dabney and Brown both added eight rebounds.
Game details on Friday night’s contest were not available.
Dabney (1-3) plays at Bluefield State on Wednesday before opening up their home slate on Friday night against Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) College at the DSLCC Armory.
