DUE BY: DEC. 5, 2024
• All tax bills for 2024 have been mailed insofar as possible.
If you did not receive a tax bill call the Treasurer’s Office at 540-863-6630.
FAILURE TO RECEIVE A STATEMENT DOES NOT RELIEVE THE TAXPAYER OF ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES OF PENALTY OR INTEREST THAT WILL ACCRUE FOR NONPAYMENT.
• All taxes are due and payable on or before December 5, 2024.
After December 5th, 2024, taxes will be charged additional penalty and interest.
• All delinquent taxes must be paid before current year taxes can be paid.
• Please bring or mail your statement when making a payment. Taxpayers may write on check for tax and refuse payments. It is preferred that a separate check be written for water bills.
A Drop box is available for payments by check.

• You may pay by credit or debit cards at the counter in the Treasurer’s Office or by phone 1-822-303-6687.
Web payments are accepted in the form of debit, credit card or echeck online at www.mspay.com/AlleghanyCountyTreasurer or the Treasurer’s Payment Portal link on the Alleghany County website or Facebook. (A convenience fee will apply)
• The Treasurer’s office will be open Monday through Friday, except state holidays, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
