LOW MOOR – The Three Rivers District All-District teams were recently announced where Alleghany had two featured on the All-District Second Team; Haden Spinks and Kai Rowland.

Spinks shot an individual 18-hole and 9-hole best amongst his Cougar teammates this season. At season-opening 18-holes TRD golf event at the Cliff View Golf Course, Spinks shot a team best 77. Meanwhile at the Hanging Rock Golf Club TRD match, Spinks shot a 39. It was at that TRD event where weather cut the match short and all performers’ 9-hole scores were doubled to determine an 18-hole score.

The Cliff View Golf Course continued to be Spinks best course as in 2023, he shot a season’s best 80.

Rowland finished second on the Alleghany golf team for the 18-hole and tied for second on the 9-hole event. It was at the Cougars fourth TRD match of the season at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club where Rowland paced AHS with a team-best 80 for the day. Meanwhile at the 9-hole TRD event at Hanging Rock Golf Club, Rowland was tied with Landon Arritt as they each carded a 41.
