Please vote for the Virginian Review Alleghany and Bath County ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week for week 1. Three players from each school are nominated and combined together in one poll. We will take the top vote getters and announce the winners from each school on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting closes Monday, Sept. 2, 2024 at 9:00 PM.

Alleghany: (Defeated Waynesboro 47-13)

Des Jordan- 149 yds passing, 4 total TDs (1 pass, 3 rush)

Xzavier Hayslett- 4 rec for 71 yds- 58-yd punt return touchdown

AJ Godfrey- 65 yards rushing, TD

Bath County: (Victorious over Stonewall Jackson 41-6)

Wyatt Campbell- returned opening kickoff for TD–2 rush TDs, ran all over the Generals

Luke Turner- 2 carries, 65 yds, 2 TD’s

Ethan Bryant- TD, set up other scores with rushing yards to keep drives moving
