Royal Vape Smoke Shop, Inc., in Historic Downtown, Clifton Forge was broken into and robbed of cigarettes, vapes, and other items to the tune of approximately $2,500, in the early morning hours of Aug. 10th , according to Mohammad Sarhan, owner.

On August 10th at 2:15 am, RVSS’ camera recorded a lone subject break a pane of glass in the store’s entry door. The subject, then reached in, unlocked the door, and let himself inside.

As RVSS sits about a stone’s throw from the Clifton Forge Police Department, the Virginian Review reached out to Chief Scott Balser for a statement on the breaking and entry and any suggestions for keeping downtown businesses safe from these types of break-ins.

Balser responded that the CFPD “is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Royal Vape and Tobacco Store, located at 533 Main Street, that occurred on August 10, 2024. A male subject entered the business by breaking a window on the front door. The suspect took an unknown
amount of tobacco and vape products. Patrols have increased in the downtown district.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Officer TA Humphries at (540) 863- 2513.”

Sarhan is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of this individual.
