Donnie T.A.M. and Kelly Gilbert Kern of Clifton Forge announce the birth of their first son, Christian Blake Kern, born Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 3:54 a.m. at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington.
Christian weighed 7 lbs., 6.9 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Randy and Barbra Gilbert of Iron Gate.
Paternal grandparents are Elizabeth Kern of California and Raymond Kern of Clifton Forge.
Maternal great-grandparents are Annamae Gilbert, the late Emmett Gilbert of Clifton Forge and Loraine Gunter, and the late George Gunter of Iron Gate.
Paternal great-grandparents are Donnie and Elizabeth Saar of California and the late Elizabeth and Curtis Kern Sr. of Clifton Forge.
Christian is the first nephew of E.R. Gilbert of Iron Gate and Curtis Kern of California.
