Baxter Alexander Leech, Sr.

Baxter Alexander Leech, Sr., 73, of Hot Springs, VA., passed away March 3, 2024, at the Bath County Community Hospital in Hot Springs following a sudden illness.

Baxter was born January 13, 1951, in Gap Mills, WV and was the son of the late Andrew Rader and Margarette Aldine Honaker Leech, Sr.

He was a long-time employee of Bacova, LTD in Low Moor, VA. with 25 years of service where he loved his work and fellow co-workers. Baxter was an avid collector of coins and loved spending time with his relatives.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Leech; brothers, Andrew Leech, Jr. and William Leech.

Those left to mourn his passing are his 5 children; Margarett Lilly (John) of Severn, MD., Tabitha Wright (Eric) of New Castle, VA., Ashley Vosselman of Florida, Alicia Hoke (Doug) of White Sulphur Springs and Baxter A. Leech, Jr. “BJ” of White Sulphur Springs; significant other Rhonda Walton; siblings, Frank Leech, Sr. of Covington, VA., Nancy Booth of White Sulphur Springs, Barbara White of Bridgeport, CT. and Joe Leech of Covington, VA.; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; special cousin Vicky Wickline and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Baxter will be Friday, March 8, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the Wallace &Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs, WV with Mr. Wesley Lilly speaking.

The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
