Mr. Carl David “Dave” Mann, age 77, of Clifton Forge, died Friday, July 31, 2020 at Alleghany Health and Rehab, Clifton Forge.
Mr. Mann was born May 17, 1943 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Paul G. Mann, Sr. and Mildred Kelley Mann.
A lifetime resident of this community, he graduated from Dunlap High School, Roanoke Barber School and Menden Hall Auctioneers School.  Dave was a well-known and avid car salesman, working in the industry for forty-two years.  He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Mr. Mann is survived by his daughter, Lisa Mann Angell and husband, Alan of Warner Robbins, GA; his son, Jonathan Mann of Clifton Forge; three grandsons, Carlos Angell, Lucas Rogers and Ryan Mann; six great grand children; special friend and caregiver, Rebecca Mann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mann is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah C. Rogers; one sister, Ann Mann Porter; and three brothers, Paul G. Mann Jr., Bobby Mann and Leonard Ray Mann.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2020, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Price officiating.
Those wishing to attend the service should follow the Covid-19 protocol and practice social distancing.
Interment will follow at Fletcher United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Mann, Jay Ervine, Buck Caldwell, Jon Fitzgerald, Howard Nicely and Ron Seabolt.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Faith Baptist Church, 311 Jackson Drive, Covington, VA 24426.
