Mr. Isaac Lanier “Ike” Fox, age 75, of Clifton Forge, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Augusta Health and Rehab, Fishersville.  He was the husband of Helen G. Deisher- Fox.
Ike was born July 21, 1945 in Alleghany County, the son of the late John Andrew Fox, Sr. and Clara Persinger Fox.
He served his country as a member of the Military Police in the United States Army serving in Vietnam.  Ike was employed as a pipefitter by Westvaco, retiring after thirty-three years service.  Ike was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.  An avid fisherman, he was a charter member of the Last Chance Bass Club and fished in tournaments on the ABA circuit.  Ike was also an avid hunter, NASCAR fan and dearly loved playing canasta.  He always greeted others with a smile and never met a stranger.  Most of all, Ike loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, Helen, Ike is survived by a son, Shawn Andrew Fox and wife, Angel; a daughter, Melissa Fox Johnson and husband, Walt; a stepson, Ray B. Deisher and wife, Ann; four grandchildren, Gabrielle Fox, Judah Johnson, Ethan Deisher and Emily Deisher; a brother, John A. Fox, Jr. of Covington; a sister, Mary C. Kern of Covington, a number of nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Tigger.
In addition to his parents, Ike was preceded in death by a sister, Olivia C. Persinger.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M.  Sunday, August 16, 2020, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Fox, Jim Kern, Ronnie Fox, Brian Hayslett, Ray Deisher, Scott Slayton and Ethan Deisher.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
