Chargers win streak snapped by Eagles

HOT SPRINGS, VA – The Bath County Chargers (3-3/2-1) three-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday following a 3-1 home loss to the Auburn Eagles in a non-district match up. 

 It was the second time this season the Eagles were able to get past the Chargers as the Eagles prevailed with a 1-0 shutout back on March 23rd in the Chargers season opener.

 This time around Andrew Tickle provided the go-ahead goals in the second half, including one via a penalty kick for the Eagles of the Mountain Empire District. The score was tied 1-1 at halftime. Jude Miear provided the Eagles other goal coming in the first half. 

 For the Chargers Caiden Offer provided the teams lone goal in the loss. It was Offer’s fifth goal of the season. 

 The Chargers are off for nine days as they’ll next be on the soccer field next Thursday when they host the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs in a Pioneer District matchup.
