Susan Elliott Hall
Susan Elliott Hall, 80 years old, of Unison, Virginia, died peacefully at her home after fighting ovarian cancer for four years, on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Born to Lester and Frances Elliott in Washington DC on July 22, 1942, “Susie” as she was known to her family and friends grew up in Winchester, Virginia. She met Aubrey C. Hall, M.D., who became her husband on August 15, 1964. They moved to Clifton Forge, Virginia in 1972 where they raised their children. Susie attended Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia, and was awarded her Bachelor’s Degree in History in 1993. In 2020, they moved to Unison to become next-door neighbors to their daughter and son-in-law and to be near their son and his family. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Lester A. Elliott, Jr. Along with her sisters, Georgie Smith and Lynn Reed, Susie is survived by her husband of 58 years and her children, Aubrey C. Hall, III (Amanda) and Holly Hall Nichols (Carl). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Dale Nichols, Carrie Nichols, Carly Hall, and Aubrey C. Hall, IV (“Ace”) as well as many nephews and nieces. A graveside service will be held at 11 am at Ebenezer Cemetery in Round Hill on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. A reception will follow at the Loudoun Golf & Country Club in Purcellville.
