Carroll Arthur Saville, age 84, of 1332 Jefferson Ave, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center, Clifton Forge.
He was born May 28, 1936 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Hunter George Saville and Lilye Frances Reynolds Saville.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany from 1959-1961. Carroll was a laborer for Hercules in Covington, a member of White Rock Gap Community Church, and loved motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John Saville, Leon Saville, Cleon Saville and Carden Saville; two sisters, Reba Saville Padden and Rovena Saville Bazzrea; and special friend, Flo Loan.
He is survived by two sisters, Genevieve Dunn of Clifton Forge and Gailiece “Lisa” Lockhart of Covington; a brother, Reginald Edward Saville of Clifton Forge; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Johnny Bazzrea, Bruce Bazzrea, Brandt Saville, Lance Lockhart, Jake Lockhart, Ryan Lockhart, Joey Lockhart and Shawn Lockhart. The family will receive friends on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Rd, Covington, VA 24426
Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
