Current CDC Variant Proportions: While the majority (75%) of COVID-19 cases in HSS Region 3 (includes Virginia) are still attributed to BA.5, across the country we are watching BF.7, a different subvariant of Omicron.
Hepatitis A Outbreak:
Since January 1, 2022, RCAHD has received reports of 87 cases of hepatitis A, including 61 hospitalizations. Two new cases were reported this week.
