From providing the Clifton Forge Town Hall with a facelift to preparing an uphill stretch of McCormick Blvd. for new pavement, the Town of Clifton Forge continues to improve its infrastructure.
The Clifton Forge LOVEWORKS sculpture that has been designated to be erected on the western side of Smith Creek adjacent to the Masonic Amphitheatre will soon be erected now that its concrete base has been completed.
Along Verge St., a sewer line has been laid to pump sewage rather than haul sewage in order to cut the cost of transporting sewage by truck, and the coffer dam project to bury a permanent pipeline under the Jackson River is nearing completion.
Workers have been busy repairing the columns at the front on the Clifton Forge Town Hall, and work on the Smith Creek Trail is underway.
The water leak on Ridgeway St. resulting from a leaking valve will soon be eliminated when the Thrasher Group receives its backorder of materials (namely American-made steel) that has been delayed by the interruption in the supply chain.
The Town of Clifton Forge has received $1,799.627 from The Alleghany Foundation since June 1995, via 27 grant proposals that have been funded to enable the Town to make improvements.
