The A. W. Long Family held its 18th annual Reunion at Malone Shelter in Douthat State Park. They had a cookout of hot dogs, vegetables and homemade desserts. The family had over 26 in attendance. They came from North Carolina and Virginia.

Games of checkers, corn hole, horseshoes, and connect 4 were enjoyed by all. There were cash prizes for the winners of each game.

The revised Long Family Book with over 800 pages, old family pictures, and a family tree were also shared by Jimmie Long, the author. For a free online copy of the Long Family Book, contact Jimmie Long at jimbo@ntelos.net.

Plans were made to have the next reunion at Malone Shelter in Douthat State Park in July 2023 from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm.
