ROANOKE, Va. (VR) — Hollins University closed out its 2026 volleyball season Saturday with a 3-0 sweep of Warren Wilson in a non-conference matchup.

Hollins (7-16) controlled the match from the opening serve, winning 25-7, 25-12 and 25-18. The Green and Gold finished with 34 kills and 14 service aces.

Hollins jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the opening set behind three service aces from Laken Tingler. Abby Neel and Cassidy Henderson added kills, while Bella Schultz contributed two aces during a 7-0 run.

The second set followed a similar pattern as Hollins built another 8-0 advantage behind three kills from Henderson and two aces from Schultz.

Warren Wilson (2-19) kept the third set close before Hollins used a 4-0 run to take control. Sydney Mitchell delivered the final kill to complete the sweep.

Henderson led Hollins with 10 kills in her final collegiate match, finishing her four-year career with 447. Norah Madrey added six kills and two blocks, while Mitchell recorded five kills.

Schultz finished with five service aces, while Tingler, a former Alleghany High School standout, added four aces and a team-high 16 assists. Evelyn Harris contributed nine assists, and senior Fin Bolt led the defense with eight digs.

Hollins finished the season with two Old Dominion Athletic Conference victories, including its first conference win since 2019 against Sweet Briar. A subsequent victory over Averett gave Hollins consecutive ODAC wins for the first time this century.
