Dabney S. Lancaster Community College (now Mountain Gateway Community College) 2022 graduate Aisha Roman of Clifton Forge (second from right) was recognized recently for being selected to the All Virginia Academic Team, during a luncheon hosted by the Virginia Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the honorary academic society for two-year colleges.

From left: Virginia Community College System Interim Chancellor Sharon Morrissey; MGCC President Dr. John Rainone; Aisha Roman; and VCCS retiring Chancellor Glen DuBois. “The All Virginia Academic Team is a wonderful way for each PTK chapter to recognize the hard work and academic achievement of their members,” explains Ashley Pratt, one of the co-advisors for the DSLCC Alpha Eta Omicron Chapter. ”We are proud to have Aisha represent our chapter this year. She has demonstrated a strong dedication to her academics and has been a valuable and engaged member of our PTK chapter.”

For more information about PTK, contact Pratt at (540) 863-2851 or email apratt@mgcc.edu.
