The Bath County Sheriff’s Department reports that the majority of the county was out of electricity from approximately 4pm Friday, June 17 until Sunday evening, June 19, 2022. The southern part of Bath County was also out of electricity and had most of the damage from all of the numerous downed trees. The main power lines serving Bath County also received substantial damage. The Dominion Electric crews were immediately called in to fix the downed lines and were able to restore power to the majority of households and businesses by Sunday.
