CLIFTON FORGE — Luke Benton is the new pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Clifton Forge.
Benton accepted the call to pastor the church and arrived on March 21.
He has been in the ministry for 16 years, ministering in music and preaching.
Benton has a bachelor of arts degree from Bob Jones University in Practical Christian Training with a minor in speech.
His wife Eliza has a bachelor of arts degree in biology education from Bob Jones University. She was a secondary science
teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She enjoys helping him with the ministry and various other church projects.
The Bentons have seven children — Jonathan, Adaline, Jacob, Autumn Grace, Arabeth, Alyssa and Jeremiah.
“Pastor Benton’s heart desire for the families of the Highlands is to know Jesus, trust Him, and let Him lead,” a church spokesman said.
