Cougars Have Early Exit In Regionals

The Covington Cougars volleyball team hosted their first round Region 1C tournament game against Galax on Monday at the Cougar Den.

Despite the fired up home crowd, the Cougars run in regionals came to an early exit as the team lost in straight sets to Galax.

In the first set, Galax were able to hold off a Cougars rally at the end to squeak out a two-point first set victory.

Galax would not allow the Cougars to rally in the second set as they won by five.

In the third and final set, Galax won with ease by eight points.
