LOW MOOR — Robert Monroe “Snookie” Elmore,Jr., age 63, of 9805 Rich Patch Road, Low Moor, Virginia, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.
He was born April 21, 1958, in Clifton Forge, to Mary Elmore and the late Robert M. Elmore Sr.
He was an equipment operator for Branch Highway.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Elmore, and a brother, Joe Elmore.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sara Elmore; a son, Robert Elmore III and his girlfriend Lacey; a daughter, Angel Jarrett and fiancé Joshua; seven grandchildren, Cody Elmore, Ethan Elmore, Gabe Elmore, Max Elmore, Joshua Rodriguez Jr., Colton Morgan and Willow Morgan; four sisters, Connie Gunter and husband Lee, Mary Ellen Elmore, Kathy Johnson and husband Melvin, Melissa Broughman and husband Bobby; a brother, Wesley Elmore and wife Kristin; a sister-in-law, Amanda Elmore; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Elaine Tingler; a brother-in-law, Tommy Tingler and fiancé Sharon; and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 2 p.m. in Sunrise Cemetery, Low Moor, with the Rev. Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
There will be no formal visitation, however, friends may call anytime during normal business hours at Nicely Funeral Home or anytime at the residence.
