He passed away in 1983 and his wife, Ruby B. Chapman took over the business. Ruby retired in 1990 and Connie M. King purchased the company after managing it for several years.
That same year, Tiffany King-Sanders joined the company to assist her mother. She was only 20 years old at that time. In 2009 Connie lost a battle against cancer. Her daughter Tiffany is now the owner and operator of the business.

Tiffany has a sister, Gina Dawn King Lewis, who is a special education teacher at Edgemont Primary School. The company employees Tiffany’s father, Dennis Ray King. He retired as a Millwright from MeadWestvaco in 2008. He came to work for his daughter at the business his wife owned in the winter of 2009. In 2019 the company remodeled its office with upgrades to the interior and exterior of the building and was awarded The Dogwood Award for Beautification. In an effort to better serve the community, they added a new showroom featuring a variety of fixtures for every budget. Holly offers design assistance by appointment, including everything from the paint color to the fixtures, to the accessories. She will make the remodel stress-free and enjoyable. She will even assist with financing options to make your dream a reality.
The pandemic has created challenges with safety being the number one priority. Tiffany has been determined to keep her employees and customers safe. She closed the doors of her building to the public last March. The office worked remotely, while the technicians provided safe and professional service to their customers. Tiffany continues to limit the traffic in her downtown building for the continued safety of the employees and customers. They have been able to conduct business as usual over the phone, never missing a beat. The show room is open by appointment only. The staff does temperature checks daily and adheres to the CDC safety guidelines. The company has continued to provide the community with safe and professional service without being closed a single day due to the pandemic.
Moving forward, Chapman Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. will be adding residential electrical repairs to their list of services in the near future. They also are licensed in West Virginia.
Tiffany and her staff are proud to be serving the Alleghany Highlands and continuing a tradition of excellence. She would like to thank the many loyal customers who have helped make the business a success. She would also like to thank her dedicated and valuable employees for their commitment to providing safe and professional service.
They look forward many more years of serving the community.
