FREDERICKSBURG (AP) – A Stafford County teenager has pleaded guilty to killing her mother because she said the mother stood in the way of her true love.
The Free Lance-Star of Fredericksburg reports that 18-year-old Ashleigh Nicole Dye pleaded guilty Tuesday in her mother’s July death.
Prosecutors say Dye shot her mother in the face and chest with a 12-gauge shotgun and stabbed her multiple times, tossed around items to make it look like a robbery then went to a fast food restaurant.
