Saturday, October 29
Brunch: There will be a free brunch at Iron Gate Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., sponsored by the Snack Pack Program. Southbound Trio will perform from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m

Spaghetti Supper: Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Callaghan Ruritan Spaghetti Dinner: The Callaghan Area Ruritan Club will have a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Callaghan Elementary School. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children and children 2 and under are free.

Country Store: PCUMC Women will be holding their annual Country Store and Yard Sale at the church, 2343 S. Carpenter Dr., from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Breakfast and luncheon will be served.

Sunday, October 30
Octoberfest: The Alleghany Highlands YMCA Octoberfest will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Cornhole tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. Costume judging begins at 4 p.m. and participants need to be registered with the Membership Services Desk by 3:45 p.m. Call 962-9622 for more information.

Benefit Concert: Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church’s Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir will hold a benefit concert at 3:30 p.m. at the church, located at 425 W. Main Street, Covington. A love offering will be taken. Margie Clark, accompanist, the Rev. Barry Throckmorton, minister.

Tuesday, November 1
Suppertime: Suppertime at Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, 425 W. Main St., will hold suppertime at 5 p.m. Menu includes turkey, dressing and all the trimmings, desert and drink for $6.

Upcoming Events
C.F. Woman’s Club: The Clifton Forge Woman’s Club will meet at 13:30 a.m. at the clubhouse on Monday, Nov. 7. Bring non-perishable food items for the C.F. Food Pantry.

Red Hat Belles: The Highlands Red Hat Belles will gather at the Court Street Restaurant in Covington on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. for a Dutch treat buffet lunch.
