Alleghany Grand Jury Indictments

Several indictments were returned Monday by an Alleghany County Circuit Court grand jury meeting in Covington. The indictments include:

Eric Lamont Hamlett, Covington. Abduction by force. Alleged offense date: Feb. 22, 2012.

Martel Alexander Jordan, Covington. Escape jail by force, petit larceny-subsequent offense. Date of alleged offenses: March 12, 2012. Burglary at night with intent to commit a felony, grand larceny not from the person of another goods and chattels valued at $200 or more. Date of alleged offenses: Dec. 24, 2011. Malicious wounding. Date of alleged offense: May 15, 2012.

Irvine Wallace Carter, Clifton Forge. Entry onto school property after being convicted of a violent sexual offense. Date of alleged offense: March 9, 2012.

Stephan D. Bussard, Norfolk. Driving after being declared an habitual offender by the court. Date of alleged offense: Feb. 14, 2012.

Daniel Wayne Potter, Clifton Forge. Robbery of a residence. Date of alleged offense: April 23, 2012.

James Lacy Tucker, Covington. Assault and battery of a family member (third-plus offense). Date of alleged offense: April 27, 2012.

James McElwee Loan III, Covington. Illegal possession of a gun within 10 years of being convicted on a non-violent felony, possession of a controlled substance, enter house to commit larceny, assault and battery or other felonies; grand larceny not from the person of another goods and chattels valued at $200 or more, firearm larceny not from the person of another. Date of alleged offenses: April 19, 2012.

Brandon Charles Ridgewell, Clifton Forge. Manufacture a controlled substance. Date of alleged offense: March 24, 2012.

Caleb Matthew Harrington, Clifton Forge. Malicious wounding, malicious bodily injury. Date of alleged offenses: May 19, 2012.

Clarence Thomas Allen III, Clifton Forge. Possession of controlled substance, petit larceny not from the person of another of goods and chattels valued at $200 or less, falsely summoning or giving false reports to law-enforcement officials. Date of alleged offenses: Feb. 10, 2012.

Crystal Ann Miller, Oak Hill, W.Va. Obtain drug by fraud, possession of Schedule I or II drug, petit larceny, false report to police officer. Date of alleged offenses: Feb. 10, 2012.

Samantha Leigh Depriest, Covington. Grand larceny not from the person of another goods and chattels valued at $200 or more (three counts), enter a house to commit larceny, assault and battery or other felonies (two counts). Dates of alleged offenses: May 9, 2012; May 12, 2012; May 13, 2012.

Kaitlin Michelle Webb, Covington. Grand larceny not from the person of another goods and chattels valued at $200 or more (three counts), enter a house to commit larceny, assault and battery or other felonies (two counts). Dates of alleged offenses: May 9, 2012; May 12, 2012; May 13, 2012.

David Andrew Williams, Covington. Assault and battery of a family member (third-plus offense). Date of alleged offense: May 25, 2012.

Ashley L. Kounz, Gap Mills, W.Va. Child abuse-serious injury. Date of alleged offense: May 30, 2012.
