IRON GATE – The Rev. Roger Roller will lead revival services at Iron Gate Baptist Church Sunday through Wednesday.
Services begin Sunday at 11 a.m. and continue each evening at 7 p.m.
Roller, a native of Pearisburg, has been a full-time evangelist since 1993. He holds a master of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., and an undergraduate degree in business from Bluefield College.
He formed the Roger Roller Evangelistic Association after serving as pastor of churches in Floyd and Rustburg.
As an evangelist, Roller leads 25 to 30 revivals each year.
He has conducted more than 400 revival meetings and preached on mission trips to Hungary, Cuba, Panama, the San Blas Islands, India, Brazil, Honduras and South Africa.
Roller’s evangelistic association has funded the construction of five churches overseas and also provides grants to seminary students who plan to pursue full-time Christian service.
An associate evangelist in Honduras is fully supported financially by the ministry.
Roller and his wife, Ester, reside in Forest.
They have three grown children: Rachel, Roger Jr. and Sarah.
Special music will be featured at each service at Iron Gate Baptist.
The music schedule includes: Psalm 100 Children and Adult Choir, Sunday morning; Cheryl Chaplin and Amy Swoope, Sunday evening; Ernie Nicely, Monday; Bobby Knick and Kaitlyn Kern, Tuesday; and the Iron Gate Baptist Church Adult Choir, Wednesday.
