Maddox was born January 26, 2013, at LewisGale Hospital.
He weighed 7 lbs., 1 oz., and was 19 inches long.
Paternal grandparents are Linda and Dave Stanlick of Harrisonburg and the late Howard Tingler (Red) of North Carolina.
Paternal great-grandparents are Pauline and Harry Nickell of Covington.
Maternal grandparents are Victoria Osborne and James Tucker, both of Covington.
Maternal great-grandparents are Edmund Byer of Quinwood, W.Va., and Reba Tucker of Covington, Marilyn Tucker and the late Everette Rucker of Covington.
