CLIFTON FORGE - Clifton Forge police are investigating a break-in and theft at the former Leggett building on Ridgeway St.
The break-in occurred sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
The perpetrator gained entry through a basement window and also broke into an office and two businesses located on the main floor.
Unspecified sums of cash were taken from registers at Country Garden Florist and Picket Fences.
A notebook computer was also stolen from Country Garden Florist.
Nothing was reported missing from Clifton Forge Main Street Inc., even though the office was broken into.
The incident is under investigation by Investigator Ronnie Paxton of the Clifton Forge Police Department.
