Stacie Michelle Wright and James Leo McCoy were united in holy matrimony October 6, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Rich Patch Union Church.

Celebrant Jolanda Pendleton conducted the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Clayton and Hazel Wright Sr. of Covington.

The groom is the son of the late Leo McCoy and Doris McCoy of Clifton Forge.

The church was decorated with fall leaves, mums, pumpkins and orange candles.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Clayton Douglas Wright Sr.

The wedding began with “Battle Hymn of Love” by Kathy Mattea.

The groom and the best man entered the sanctuary to “Don’t Believe Everything You Think” by Lee Brice.

The bride was escorted into the church by her father to the tune of “Lost In This Moment” by Big & Rich.

“Til My Last Day” by Justin Moore played as the bride and groom were pronounced man and wife and as they exited the church.

The bride was attired in a floor-length red gown with silver sequins splashed across the strapless bodice. She wore a matching pair of glittery silver pumps.

Her cascading bouquet was made up of orange and yellow calla lillies, red roses, billyballs, coffeberry, orange tiger lillies and red carnations.

Stephanie Green made up the bride, the entire bridal party and the mothers’ hair and also lent a hand to decorating the reception location.

Charlene Wright Barnard, of Charleston, S.C., served her sister as the Matron of Honor.

She wore a knee-length strapless gown that was eggplant in color with a pair of matching strappy silver heels.

Chyanne Groves, daughter of the groom, and Paelyn McCoy, daughter of the bride and groom, appeared in the ceremony as flower girls. They wore chocolate brown, ankle-length dresses with an eggplant sash and silver shoes.

Levi McCoy, son of the groom, was the ring bearer. He wore blue jeans, an eggplant shirt with a silver necktie and brown cowboy boots.

James “Jimmy” Curtis was the Best Man. He wore blue jeans with an eggplant shirt, a silver necktie and brown cowboy boots.

Ushers were Koty Wolfe and Ethan Wolfe, sons of the bride.

They wore blue jeans, an eggplant shirt with an orange tie and brown cowboy boots.

The groom was bedecked in a silver shirt with a red necktie, a charcoal gray sports coat and blue jeans and brown cowboy boots.

The bride’s mother wore eggplant slacks with a glittery silver top.

The groom’s mother wore a gold colored dress splashed with various fall colors.

A reception was held at Crystal Forest Lodge, Pat Loving’s cabin off of Totten Drive in Covington. Wesley and Mandy Arritt, along with Chris Persinger and Don Bernard, assisted with preparations for the reception.

The bridal table was decorated with mason jars full of fall colored flowers, fall colored leaves and fall colored Hershey kisses with tea light candles.

The cake consisted of three tiers of cupcakes (chocolate and vanilla) decorated with fall leaves and topped with the Willow Tree figurine “Promise.”

Wedding photos were taken by Kelsey Meyer, owner of Pics By Kels.

Michelle McCoy, of the Vintage Bouquet, sister of the groom, provided all the flower arrangements for the day, including the bride’s cascading bouquet.

Wesley “The Cook” Arritt handled the culinary duties for the celebration.

The happy couple partied well into the night with their guests and saw everyone off safely.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Alleghany High School and a 2003 graduate of the Staunton School of Cosmetology.

She is employed as a hairstylist with SmartStyle Hair Salon, located inside of Walmart.

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Alleghany High School and is employed as a truck driver with Houff Transfer in Weyers Cave.

The couple makes their home in Alleghany County.
