Wild Meadow Baptist Church, Route 92, White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. Breakfast will be served following the service.
Oak Hill Bible Church
Oak Hill Bible Church, 1601 Chestnut St., Clifton Forge, will hold an outdoor Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast. Morning worship will be held at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Sunday school or evening service.
Callaghan United Methodist Charge
The Callaghan United Methodist Charge will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. It will be held at Hoke Chapel Cemetery on Ogle Creek Road. Breakdast will follow in the church’s social hall. Regular woship will be held at Hoke Chapel at 9:45 a.m. and Fletcher Chapel at 11 a.m. Both services will feature special music.
Central United Methodist Church
Central United Methodist Church will hold a Sunrise Service in the church sanctuary just before sunrise (time to be announced). The service will conclude outside in a triangle across the street from the church. Breakfast will be served following the service. At 11 a.m., the church will conduct a service celebrating the resurrection of Christ. There will be festive music, the Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church
McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, 900, N. Alleghany Ave., Covington, will conduct an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:45 a.m. The service will begin in the church’s north parking lot at 6:45 and move the sanctuary at 7 a.m. Followed the service, a covered-dish breakfast will be held in the fellowship hall.
Potts Valley Charge-Lone Star Baptist
The Potts Valley United Methodist Charge and Lone Star Baptist Church will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. The service will be conducted at Pinnell United Methodist Church on Summit Drive. Breakfast will be served following the service. At 11 a.m., the Potts Valley Charge will hold a combined Easter service at 10:30 a.m. The service will be conducted at Humphrey’s United Methodist, Paint Bank.
First Baptist Church-Clifton Forge
First Baptist Church, Clifton Forge, will host an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Preston Tyler, pastor of Main Street Baptist Church. Breakfast will be served following the service.
Christ United Methodist Church
Christ United Methodist Church, 200 E. Fudge St., Covington, will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m.
Longdale United Methodist Church
Longdale United Methodist Church will hold an Easter Sunrise Service in the church yard, beginning at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall. Morning worship will be conducted at 9 a.m.
Epworth United Methodist/
Selma Church of the Brethren
Epworth United Methodist Church and Selma Church of the Brethren will hold a joint Easter vigil sunrise service at 7 a.m. The service will be held at Selma Church of the Brethren. The speaker will be the Rev. Tom Reynolds, pastor of Epworth United Methodist. Epworth will hold its regular worship service at 11 a.m.
Low Moor Presbyterian Church
Low Moor Presbyterian Church will hold a community Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. The service will be held at Sunrise Cemetery. It will be led by the Rev. Lisa Marshall. Following the service, breakfast will be served at the church. In the event of inclement weather, the sunrise service will be held in the church sanctuary. At 11 a.m., the church will conduct a communion service. Low Moor Presbyterian is located at 204 Old Church St., Low Moor.
First Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ)
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 319 Church St., Clifton Forge, will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Rodney Wallace will provide special music during the service. A light breakfast will be served following the service.
Emory United Methodist Church
Emory United Methodist Church, 7401 Jackson River Rd., Covington, will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served following the service. Morning worship will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school.
New Life Church Of God
New Life Church of God, East Dolly Ann Drive, Covington, will hold an Easter Service with special singing and a message from the Rev. Freeman Coffey at 11 a.m.. Call 958-5473 for more information.
Piney Grove Baptist Church
Piney Grove Baptist Church, Hot Springs, will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Regular morning service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by Holy Communion.
Joint Sunrise Service
A joint sunrise service, with Concerned Christian Baptist Church, Good News Christian Fellowship, Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, and Pine Street Baptist Church, will be held at Gospel Tabernacle Sunday at 6 a.m. The Rev. William Hickman will be the speaker. Following the Sunrise Service, breakfast will be served at Concerned Christian Baptist Church.
Central Advent Christian Church
Central Advent Christian Church will hold a sunrise service at the top of the church’s cemetary at 7 a.m. The service is sponsored by Lone Star Advent Christian Church and breakfast will be held at the Lone Star church after the sunrise service.
